First Friday is usually a night to get out and see some local art in smaller shops and local galleries around the area.

And Newark, DE has the Newark Arts Alliance which has it's own unique schedule.

Bellefonte Arts is just one shop in a great little North Wilmington town which hosts two artists every month during the First Friday Wilmington Art Loop! Just a jump off of I-95 and I-495.

Bellefonte Arts has many Delaware Etsy Artists work in the gallery all year!

And there are lots of small art and craft shows popping up: Etsy Local for Wilmington, DE (you can add your location and find local events near you!).

And if you can't get out and see the arts, hop over to the First Friday Art Walk Team over on Etsy and check out the cool things on the monthly online Art Walk event!

September 2014 First Friday Art Walk Weekend

Fall is just around the corner here in Delaware, school has started up, and the beaches are resuming their off season slower pace of life. To many this is a favorite time of the year, not only for the weather, but for the abundance of arts and crafts shows that start to happen every weekend.

This weekend is the Brandywine Arts Festival! 

We have some of our Delaware Etsy Team members selling work there, so make sure to swing by and check out their goods in person.

Also, Friday night kicks off the monthly Art Loop in Wilmington (and many surrounding towns), so there is a lot of great art work to be seen!

Welcome to our December Post for the First Friday Art Walk Weekend!

This is the first month where Etsy Local has launched and if a Etsy shop owner has created or linked up to an event, you can just type in your town and see what is going on locally! A superb addition to linking up this HUGE online arts community with more local flavor.

Welcome to the May First Friday Art Walk Weekend here on our blog for our Delaware Etsy Street Team.

First Friday Art Walk Local Events in Delaware

Do You "Art Walk"?

If you are looking for a night out where you can see art and be social with people, you should get out locally and check to see if your area hosts a First Friday Art Walk Loop.

This is traditionally the night where galleries and shops that display or sell handmade artists work will "open" their upcoming month's exhibit.

This is the night where you can meet the artist to talk about their body of work.

Often there is a small amount of food and drink also offered so you can stay energized during the art walk loop and see a lot of the galleries in the area.

She will be showing her "Eco Friendly" Up-Cycled Art.

I (Marsha of Marsha Neal Studio) stopped by Bellefonte Arts on Wednesday afternoon to add a few new items to my display case, to ask about how an artist gets ready to be on the Art Loop (as I am on the May 3 one), and to see about getting Bellefonte Arts and the Delaware Etsy Street Team more involved (details to come!).
